With Season 5 coming to a close, we bring you our movie review for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. This is the full review of the differences between the movie and the book. It's a little longer than most of our podcasts so please bear with us.  Some of the things we point out are some plot holes, some differences in mechanics of the story, wonderful book scenes missing from the movie, and things the movie did well. We noticed that some of the characters we love (and love to hate) are markedly different or even missing between the book and the movie. What's your take? We'd love to find out.

Everyone is back where they need to be - well almost everyone. Dumbledore is back, the Ministry finally admits Voldemort is back, and Harry is vindicated once again. But Harry is avoiding most people because the pain of losing Sirius is just too much. In the end though, he still has his friends and all the people in his life who love him. And they show him the best way they know how. How do they do that, you might ask? Well let's hear about it together.

This is Season 5, Episode 43 where we go over Chapter 37 - The Lost Prophecy.  Harry makes it back to Dumbledore's office only to have to face the terrible loss of his godfather, Sirius Black. We find out everything that lead to this year and Dumbledore's misguided attempts to shield Harry from more pain. And how those attempts led to some things a teenager should never have to deal with. These are all things even Dumbledore himself says he should have shared with Harry. It's a lot to take in, but let's learn about all of it together.

And Dumbledore still tries to give Tom (aka Voldemort) the opportunity to do the right thing... but when has Voldemort ever done the right thing? Will this end up getting resolved? Will people finally realize that Voldemort is back? And will Harry ever get through his grief? Let's find out what happens together.

Episode 146 - Sirius-ly Falling

With this episode, we continue our review of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. This is Season 5, Episode 41 where we go over Chapter 35 - Beyond the Veil.  What is Lucius doing at the Ministry of Magic in the middle of the night, and why does he want the orb from Harry? We find out that the orb is a prophecy that Voldemort needs. But the teens are not going to let them take it without a fight. And what could go wrong with 6 teenagers fighting about a dozen or so adult Death Eaters? Luckily Dumbledore eventually makes and entrance... but another character make his final exit. It's a lot to take in, but let's learn about it all together.

This is Season 5, Episode 36 where we go over Chapter 30 - Grawp.  In this chapter we see the effect of the Weasley Twins' brilliant exit from Hogwarts. And we also see that, because of Umbridge, people are making backup plans. This includes Hagrid, who finally lets Harry and Hermione (or should I say Hermy?) in on his secret in the Forbidden Forest. And we find out that the Centaurs are none to happy with what's going on at the school and with what's lurking in the Forest, but they won't hurt the foals.
