Episode 18 - First Day Follies

Once again, being sick was rough. But here we are and we're going to be back on our regular schedule even if it kills us.... Ok, maybe that's a little far but you know what we mean. 

With this episode we continue our deep dive into Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. In this episode, we go over Chapter 6 - Gilderoy Lockhart. Harry and Ron are dealing with the fallout from the day before, including receiving a piece of mail NO ONE ever wants to receive. Harry also seems to have a new shadow or two - one is a new first-year muggle-born wizard, and the other is the new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor who can't seem to do anything right. How is our trio going to react to him and his self-absorbed ways?

Episode 17 - The Tree That Fights Back.

Sorry about the hiatus. But when you're sick it's hard to get much done and it wasn't just one of us... it was both of us. You'll hear more about it in the next episode. 

With this episode we continue our deep dive into Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. In this episode, we go over Chapter 5 - The Whomping Willow. Harry and all the Weasley kids are ready to go back to Hogwarts. After many false starts they get to Kings Cross Station, only for Harry and Ron to be barred form getting onto Platform 9 and 3 quarters. So they have to find another way to get to Hogwarts. They think they're all set until everything starts spiraling out of control. Will the boys get there in one piece? Will they stay in one piece once they get onto the grounds? Let's find out how this adventure turns out!

With this episode we're finished with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. This is part 2 of a 2 part review of the differences between the movie and the book. Again, some of the things we point out are beloved book characters missing from the movie, wonderful book scenes missing from the movie, and things the movie did well. We noticed that not all additions or changes in the movie are bad, but sometimes you just need to follow the book more closely - especially if they're written by the wonderful J.K.Rowling.

We're rounding out Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone with this Episode. This is part 1 of a 2 part review of the differences between the movie and the book. Some of the things we point out are beloved book characters missing from the movie, wonderful book scenes missing from the movie, and things the movie did well.
